kate rogers band beauregard
Following 8 years on UK indie label Grand Central Records,
where she was a regular vocalist for artists like AIM and Rae & Christian,
and the release of two solo albums, Kate decided it was time to bring it back to her home in Ontario, Canada.

Now, two years after the North American release of the critically acclaimed St. Eustacia, and a recent stint singing with Toronto
indie rockers The Coast, Kate and her band are running wild and independant with the release of her new album Beauregard.

While never losing sight of her folk roots, Beauregard picks up the pace where St. Eustacia left off.
With production by Toronto’s Chris Stringer (Ohbijou, Timber Timbre, The D’Urbervilles) and mixed by the venerable
Michael Phillip Wojewoda (Rheostatics, Spirit of the West) this album boasts a little extra energy, punch and indie-pop flavour than earlier recordings, and in turn gives Kate’s affecting, soulful vocals the opportunity to really flex some muscle.

Having already completed a 2008 UK  festival tour, which included live performances on BBC radio’s  Bob Harris Show and
Women’s Hour,  Kate and her band were also recently featured live on CBC  Radio 1  ‘Q’ with Jian Gomeshi,
‘Here and Now’ with Matt Galloway, and are on regular rotation on CBC Radio 2 ‘Drive’ with Rich Terfry.
Kate’s was also a featured artist  on CFNY’s ‘Explore Music’ with Alan Cross.

Spring 2009 marks the beginning of a full Canadian festival and venue tour as well as another trip across to the UK in the summer of 2009.
